Description:
This is a linear on / off solenoid that is designed to replace pyrotechnic burst devices in fire protection applications. The unit is held in the latched position and when provided a release signal, drives a burst pin into a compressed gas cylinder releasing the pressure through internal ports. Based upon the cylinder being burst -- strokes, latching force and port size can be modified as required.
